EP222 - Do I have to remove the paper from my plug plant?

On Todays 5minute Friday, we are going to answer one of our most common questions asked.

What to do with the paper pot that is on the outside of our plug/starter plants.

The question is ‘do we have to take them off’ ?

The answer is No. I can tell you with no hesitation, the plants will grow with them on with no issues at all.  We pot tens of thousands of plants on a regular basis, and this is a good example. This fuchsia was potted a little while ago, and we did not remove the paper, look how much root growth these have.

These paper pots are biodegradable, as they are made from paper. If you do remove them, you are more likely to disturb the roots, or even break them.
