EP221 - How to pinch out your plants

On Todays 5minute Friday, we are going to show you how to stop your plants.

We are going to show you how to stop your plants and importantly, why we do this.

Stopping means, chopping the top off of the growing stem, or taking the tip out, the reason we do it, using this plant as a great example is, as the plant grows straight up, we stop it, to make for a bushier plant. This is what we have done, with this one, they are the same plant, with a few weeks difference, but now we have a bushier plant, you can see where we stopped it, and the consequence is lots of new growth and stems, and the more stems, the more flowers.

So we take the plug plant, and just snip off down the long stem, then the plant will start producing more stems and bush out. It really is that easy.
