On Todays 5minute Friday, we are going to show you how to pinch out your hanging baskets to get more flowers.
I have two hanging baskets here and although it seems like sacrilege, taking the heads off soon as you get the plant, but this is how to pinch them out and it really does make all the difference.
Pinching them out helps the plant to bush out, you can use your hands, or scissors, and just work your way around the plant taking the tips off, where you want to encourage new growth, it’s similar to when we take cuttings. The more it bushes out, the more foliage and therefore more flowers.
