Argyranthemum Day-zee Yellow

Argyranthemum's never disappointed as a garden or container-grown plants. The bushy compact habit and very free-flowering nature put on a colourful show throughout the summer months. These tender perennials are ideal for the centre of a patio pot or planted in a border for a fantastic hit of colour.

Argyranthemum Day-Zee Yellow - is a stunning variety which produces masses of bright yellow daisy-like flowers.

Flowers from late spring right through the summer. Grows to a height of 45cm and will spread the same.

Is this plant "garden ready"

Maybe, we prefer our plug plants (also known as starter plants) to be potted up before going into the garden. The ideal size is a 9 cm pot (you can also plant straight into a basket), but it can be slightly smaller or larger if you would prefer. In the warmer months, you may get away with planting straight out, but it is probably not worth the risk.

Should I deadhead my Argyranthemum's?

You don't have to but if you do you will be treated to more flowers throughout the flowering period

Why has my Argyranthemum plant be cut at the top?

This is known as stopping. The plants you get may not be stopped. The reason we do this is that it will help the plants bush out, create more stems and produce more flowers.

What compost should I use?

A good quality multipurpose compost is ideal for this. You can use your own compost but make sure you know that it is not too high (or low) in nutrients.
