Ultimate Salvia Starter Plant Collection - 12 different varieties - Plant information

Size: Salvias will grow to 80cm and spread 40-50cm depending on variety.

Position: Salvias albeit hardy plants, often best, to plant in a more sheltered spot, when they first arrive with you. They really love full sun location.

Feeding etc: Feeding - A good quality multipurpose compost is ideal for them. You can use your own compost, but make sure you know, that it is not too high (or low) in nutrients.
Pruning - Deadhead periodically, to encourage continuous blooms. A fairly hard prune in spring is recommended, removing dead wood.
Propagation - Cuttings are best for Salvias, giving you extra plants, and reinvigorating the existing plants.

Care: Salvia prefer well drained soil. Once established, they require little care. Water more frequently during dry spells. If they are in your containers, water, just before they dry out.
