Our New Guinea Collection – 6 Starter Plug Plants brings bold colour and reliable performance to your summer displays, flowering continuously right through to the first frosts.

New Guinea impatiens, often known as Busy Lizzie hybrids, are prized for their large, vibrant blooms and strong, upright growth. Unlike traditional impatiens that prefer shade, these sun-loving types thrive in brighter positions, making them perfect for exposed patios and sunny borders.

Ideal for hanging baskets, containers, pots and window boxes, they create a striking centrepiece with minimal effort and maximum impact.

Impatien New Guinea Collection - Plant information

Size: Typically grows to a medium height suitable for borders and containers. Spread varies depending on the variety but generally forms a lush, attractive clump.

Position: Best grown in partial shade to full sun. The collection includes varieties suited to various light conditions, ensuring flexibility in placement. Good air circulation helps prevent disease.

Feeding etc: Feed regularly with a balanced fertiliser during the growing season to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead spent blooms to maintain appearance and prolong flowering. Prune lightly if needed to shape plants.

Care: This collection is easy to care for and flowers for a long period. It includes a good selection of different varieties, chosen for their performance and appearance. Regular watering and occasional feeding will keep plants healthy and blooming.

	Starter Plant (Plug Plant) Plug Size: 2cm by 4cm. Our most popular size. This is often the most economical way of buying plants and is a great way to get a head start on the season. Generally this size is best to be potted up before planting out.
	Jumbo Plug Plug Size: 6cm by 7cm. A fantastic alternative to a 9cm pot and saves on plastic too. The plants in this size are well established and give you a head start. This size is perfect for planting straight into containers and baskets as well as the garden.
	9cm pot Pot size: 9cm by 9-10cm. This size hold some well established plants, some of which maybe around 1 year old. We sell most of our ranges in this size and most of the plants sold in this size, are established enough to be planted straight outside.
	13cm or 1 litre pot Pot size: 12-13cm by 12-15cm Currently our largest size of plant, with the exception of our planted containers. Many of our House Plants are available in this size, as well as some special collections and varieties.
