Thymus 'Woolly' creates a soft, silvery carpet of foliage that adds subtle texture to any garden setting. This compact herb features velvety, grey-green leaves that form a dense mat, perfect for edging or filling gaps in rockeries. Its gentle appearance contrasts beautifully with bolder plants, enhancing visual interest throughout the seasons. The plant’s low-growing habit makes it an excellent choice for ground cover, providing a natural, understated charm.

    Woolly Thyme - Plant information

Size: Grows to approximately 10 cm tall with a spreading habit up to 30 cm wide.

Position: Prefers full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Thrives best in a sheltered spot away from harsh winds.

Feeding etc: Apply a balanced fertiliser in early spring to support growth. Regular light pruning helps keep the plant compact and healthy.

Care: Water moderately during dry spells and avoid waterlogging. Trim lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth. Mulch in winter to protect roots in colder climates.
