Delosperma Desert Jewels Ruby - Plant information

Size: Grows to around 10 cm tall with a spread up to 50 cm. Forms a low, dense mat suitable for groundcover. Compact growth habit fits well in mixed borders and rockeries.

Position: Prefers full sun for best flowering and growth. Tolerates poor soil but needs excellent drainage. Ideal for sunny borders, rockeries, and containers. Protect from prolonged wet conditions.

Feeding etc: Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to support growth. Light pruning after flowering maintains shape and encourages new shoots. Minimal feeding needed due to hardy nature.

Care: Water sparingly once established to avoid root rot. Remove spent flowers to encourage further blooming. Avoid overwatering and ensure good drainage. Hardy and drought tolerant, requiring minimal maintenance.
