6 different Penstemon varieties.

All individually labelled.

Penstemon the beardtongue, native to the Nearctic. They are a long blooming easy going perennial and grow with minimal maintenance. Penstemon can vary from quite small for your rock gardens, to waist high colourful plants flowing through your garden, borders or containers. They are extremely popular not just to us, but to all sorts of pollinators that love their long tubular blooms. Strong stems make them perfect for cut flowers, looking breath taking in a vase. They are a beautiful burst of soft colour to lighten every space you put them.

    Ultimate Penstemon Collection - 6 Established Plants Different Varieties - Plant information

    Size: Penstemons will grow to a height of between 40-70cm and spread 45-60cm.

    Position: Penstemon prefer full sun or light shade. They don't compete well with other plants, so plenty of space is ideal.

    Feeding etc: Feeding - In spring apply a general all purpose fertilizer. Feed weekly in summer.
    Pruning - Autumn is the time to cut these plants back by a third. Leave enough foliage to help protect through the winter.
    Propagation - Take stem cuttings, giving yourself free, new plants.

    Care: Penstemon enjoy moist, well drained soil. Water around 1 inch per week through the summer.
