Height & Spread

Allow space for the plant to develop in its container, and pinch out young shoots to encourage branching.

Position & Sunlight

Choose a sunny, sheltered position and free-draining compost. In a greenhouse or conservatory, give good light and ventilation, with protection from scorching midday sun.

Feeding, Pruning & Propagation

Feed during active growth, following the product instructions. Use a high-potash feed once flower buds form. Pinch out young shoot tips to encourage branching and remove faded flower stems regularly.

Care Guide

Water when the surface of the compost starts to dry, then let excess water drain away. Keep the compost from becoming waterlogged. This is a tender perennial: bring it into a light, frost-free place before autumn frosts and water sparingly over winter.
