One of the stars of the spring garden. Dicentra, often known as bleeding hearts, is a real show stopper. This lovely perennial plant has delicate heart-shaped flowers, in mid to late spring which hangs down from the foliage.

Dicentra can be grown in a pot as well as the garden and is nice and hardy, so it can be kept outside all year round in the UK.
