    Dianthus Alpine Fire Star - Plant information

    Size: Grows to approximately 15-20 cm tall with a spread of 20-25 cm. Compact growth habit suits small spaces and rock gardens.

    Position: Prefers full sun to partial shade. Thrives best in well-drained soil. Suitable for rockeries, borders, and containers. Very hardy and tolerates cold conditions well.

    Feeding etc: Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Cut back after flowering to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth.

    Care: Keep soil moist but well-drained. Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Hardy and requires minimal maintenance once established. Protect from excessive winter wetness.
