Chilli Serrano de Sol

A hard to find chilli in the UK. Serrano chillies are an essential part of Mexican cooking. It produces a medium crop of medium sized coned shaped chillies, which combined with tomatoes, make a great salsa base.  Once ripe they develop a sweetness with a medium 5/10 spicy heat.

As with all Chilli plants they love the heat, after all they are subtropical. This is especially true when they are young. All Chilli starter plants should be grown on the windowsill or a greenhouse until they are established and the weather is warm.
