Achillea ptarmica. 'Peter Cottontail' perennial plant
You are probably familiar with the Achilliea 'millefolium' varieties, but you may not know the 'ptarmica' Achillea. Compared with the millefolium varieties this plant produces much more singular flowers that are spaced out more per stem. This variety has a lovely compact habit and grows as well in a pot as it does the garden. As with all Achillea, this is a nice and easy perennial to grow and will fill your garden or pot with colour year after year.
Height 90cm Spread 1m. Prefers full sun to partial shade.
More about the Achillea (Yarrow) 'Family': Achillea is a group of flowering plants from the Asteraceae family. It's named after the Greek mythological hero Achilles as, according to legend his soldiers grew it to treat their wounds.
