6 Established 9cm Plants

This collection will include 6 of the best mints on the nursery. Handpicked to ensure quality. For many years mints have been a favourite amongst gardeners and cooks alike. And with good reason. There is no doubt they are one of the easiest herbs to grow, and can be used in many ways. We have put this collection together with some of the more unusual varieties, which are also nice and simple to grow .

Mint has few boundaries, you can perk up your Pesto, enjoy a mint tea or make mint ice cubes for your Pimm's and Mojito's, adding the fresh leaves too. Sprinkle on your salads, boost your butter, make a face mask or enjoy a mini spa experience by adding leaves to your mint bath !

Collection includes 6 different Mint plants, all individually labelled.

* Please note - if you order more than one collection of these plants, you may well get the same varieties again.*

Mint collection of 6 plants. - Plant information

Size: As this is a collection the Mints can vary in height and spread dependent on variety.

Position: Mint thrives in both light and shade. Potted Mint can be planted right through the autumn. Pick often, to keep plant compact and producing new growth.

Feeding etc: Feeding - Fill with a multipurpose compost, or an enriched garden compost.
Pruning - Mint dies back over winter, so remove faded stems in spring, before the new shoots start coming through.
Propagation -Take cuttings, which will give you new free plants and help stimulate, the parent plant. When mint finishes flowering in late summer, cut back the whole plant to around 5cm from base.

Care: Mints generally enjoy moist, well drained soil. Water newly planted mints regularly, for at least a few months. Ensure they don't dry out, and keep an eye on ones in pots, as they tend to dry out a little quicker. Mint is very low maintenance.
