Achillea named after the Greek mythological hero Achilles as, according to legend his soldiers grew it to treat their wounds. Most Achillea have fern like, aromatic, rich green foliage and large, flat clusters of tiny flowers on tall stems. These flowers can vary hugely in colour depending on the variety and are very attractive to insects.
