Chilli 'Pimento de Padron' creates a lively display of small, glossy fruit that add a burst of interest to any garden. This cultivar produces mildly hot chillies, typically around 500 to 2,500 Scoville Heat Units, making them pleasantly spicy but not overwhelming. The plant is bushy and compact, ideal for growing in pots or garden beds. It offers a rewarding harvest of green fruits that can be enjoyed fresh or cooked, adding a distinctive flavour to dishes.

Chilli Pimento de Padron - Plant information

Size: Reaches approximately 30-40 cm in height with a similar spread. The compact size suits small gardens and containers. Produces mildly hot chillies that add subtle spice to meals.

Position: Grow in a warm, sunny spot for best fruiting. The plant thrives with plenty of light and warmth. The chillies have a mild heat level, suitable for most palates. Avoid overly shady or cold locations.

Feeding etc: Feed with a balanced fertiliser every two weeks during growing season. Prune lightly to maintain shape and encourage bushiness. The chillies offer a mild heat, perfect for versatile cooking uses.

Care: Keep soil consistently moist but well-drained. The chillies are mildly hot, perfect for those who enjoy gentle spice. Protect from frost and provide support if needed. Regular harvesting encourages continued fruit production.

	Starter Plant (Plug Plant) Plug Size: 2cm by 4cm. Our most popular size. This is often the most economical way of buying plants and is a great way to get a head start on the season. Generally this size is best to be potted up before planting out.
	Jumbo Plug Plug Size: 6cm by 7cm. A fantastic alternative to a 9cm pot and saves on plastic too. The plants in this size are well established and give you a head start. This size is perfect for planting straight into containers and baskets as well as the garden.
	9cm pot Pot size: 9cm by 9-10cm. This size hold some well established plants, some of which maybe around 1 year old. We sell most of our ranges in this size and most of the plants sold in this size, are established enough to be planted straight outside.
	13cm or 1 litre pot Pot size: 12-13cm by 12-15cm Currently our largest size of plant, with the exception of our planted containers. Many of our House Plants are available in this size, as well as some special collections and varieties.
