EP231 - How to pot up a Cool Wave Pansy

On Todays 5minute Friday, we are going to show you how to pot up a Cool Wave Pansy.

We are preparing for the autumn, we are planting up now, to get flowers all autumn, winter and into next spring.

This is a special type of Pansy, it is a Cool Wave trailing pansy, we will show you how to pot these up, we do thousands of these on the nursery. Once they are established, I would recommend them for the edge of a window box, or into a hanging basket.

They make look small, but they grow nice and quickly, and are hungry, so feed them regularly and treat them as you would a bedding plant.

Pansy Cool Wave do so much better outside, these will take frosts, and they are a hardy plant and look magnificent in hanging baskets.

Browse our Oh so pretty Pansy's here.

  1. Fill the pot with a good multipurpose compost, just shy from the top.
  2. Make a hole with your finger, a little bigger than the plug, we want the plant level with the compost. Place it in and then gently tuck it in.
  3. Water well and put outside.
