EP161 - How to "Stop" Fuchsia plants - How to make fuchsias flower more

Intro

Hi everyone, Alan from Newlands Nursery.

Today we are going to take the tips out of the fuchsia, a method used to encourage the plants to bush out.

We have these fabulous pre planted fuchsias, but you can do this regardless of where your fuchsias are growing. We have already done this once to these, and you can see how much more foliage we are getting. The more branches and stems you have, the more flowers it will produce, for you to enjoy all summer.

Fuchsia fun facts : Bees and hummingbirds are attracted to fuchsias.

Instructions

1. Find a tip and then nip it off, just above the next stem.

2. Watch the video for demonstration. I do this with my fingers, but you can use scissors if you prefer.

3. Continue around the fuchsia.
