Planting up the perfect Thyme container
This week I’m showing you how to plant up a container full of one of the best herbs for any garden! Thyme comes in a great number of varieties with their own scents, tastes, and unique visual appeal! Plus, they're hardy, and will fit perfectly into any new or established herb garden!
Why Thyme?
Thyme is as hardy as they come, making it ideal for planting now while the weather is (inconsistently!) turning for the better! There may still be some frosts, but your Thyme container won't care! It'll keep growing and providing your kitchen an amazing additional flavour!
What You’ll Need:
-
A container
-
A variety of Thymes
- Compost
Step-by-Step:
- Fill your container with compost so that your plants sit at the right height.
- Place your plants into the container to check their placement.
- Remove your plants from their pots and place them into the planned pattern.
- Fill in any gaps around them with compost and then give them a good water (you almost can't overwater at this stage!)
Aftercare:
Thyme is super hardy so will be ready to go outside at any point, but make sure you keep it well drained in colder weather and well watered in warmer months!
