Getting the most from your Salvias
This week I’m showing you how to get the most from Salvias, whether shop bought or home grown! While buying Salvia plants and planting them up straight away will give you a perfectly healthy plant, following our instructions will offer you a bushier plant with the potential for many extra flowers!
What You’ll Need:

Sharp secateurs
Step-by-Step:
- Depending on the size of your plants, trimming may differ slightly.
- Using sharp secateurs cut back the plant just above a leaf break.
This will hold the plants off from flowering for a little while, however it will encourage it to bush out, which will eventually produce loads more flowers!
